This oil-free garlic hummus is a simple, nourishing take on a classic plant-based staple. Made with whole chickpeas, creamy tahini, and fresh garlic, it delivers rich flavor while staying light and heart-healthy.
Chickpeas provide plant-based protein and fiber to support digestion and steady energy, while tahini adds depth along with beneficial minerals and healthy fats. Fresh lemon juice brightens the dish and enhances nutrient absorption, and garlic brings both bold flavor and natural immune-supporting properties.
Blended with aquafaba for a smooth, airy texture—without the need for added oil—this hummus is a wholesome, minimally processed option that fits beautifully into a longevity-focused lifestyle. Perfect as a dip, spread, or nourishing addition to any meal.
Ingrediants
1.5 cup or one can of chickpeas
1.5 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
1.5 Tbsp tahini
2 garlic cloves
1/4 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup aquafaba from chix peas
Preparation
Add the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, and salt to a food processor. Blend until the mixture begins to break down and become creamy. With the processor running, slowly add the aquafaba a little at a time, allowing it to fully incorporate and create a smooth, light texture.
Pause to scrape down the sides as needed, then continue blending until the hummus is silky and well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning if desired. For best flavor and texture, let it rest briefly before serving.
