Tofu Breakfast Scramble



Revamp your breakfast with a tofu scramble seasoned to mimic real eggs, thanks to the magic of black salt. Sauté with peppers, onions, and mushrooms, or experiment with other veggies. This versatile dish is a hearty favorite, perfect for starting the day with a satisfying, plant-based meal. Leftovers make fantastic ingredients for a breakfast burrito.


Ingredients

16 oz block or organic extra firm tofu

sweet vadalia onions chopped

red pepper chopped

green onion chopped

1 1/2 Tbsp tofu scramble seasoning

olive oil for sauteing

2-3 Tbsp plant milk

 

Tofu scramble seasoning

 

½ cup nutritional yeast

3 teaspoons black salt

3 teaspoons onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon ground turmeric

 

Preparation

Wrap the block of tofu in paper towels and squeeze off a little of the moisture. Add 1 Tbsp of olive oil to large nonstick pan then add tofu to the pan while crumbeling. Saute tofu crumbles 7-10 minutes. This will remove additional moisture and sear crumbles some to eneable them to hold shape. In a seperate pan saute veggies until tender. Add veggies to tofu then fold in tofu seasoning and plant milk. Serve.
